On one hand, the double bar mat fence was more and more eating its way into the urban space, even establishing itself in the front gardens of historical quarters. That spurred the search for alternatives. On the other hand, it was the experience that, in addition to the purchase price, maintenance, and replacement costs, had also significantly influenced buying decisions.
There are very few products on the market in the range between elaborate, and to easy to produce cheaply, many being purely functional industrial products. Above all, hardly anything met our aesthetic demands and the desire to provide a durable product. Traditional wooden fences, in turn, have their fundamental weaknesses. Their lifetime is limited, and the maintenance costs are often high. Especially in the slats’ end-grain area and on the top of the transom, the weathering processes are significant.
This is precisely where it was necessary to start. Our incentive was to find a solution that puts a protective wood construction in the foreground as much as possible and exclude the use of toxic paints or wood preservatives. Since no plastics were to be used, the choice of materials focused on durable types of wood and corrosion-resistant metals.
Of course, an additional focus was placed on how materials can be made sustainable and responsible. We believe we have been very successful in doing this. Our fence system is practically indestructible – everything is recyclable. Abrigo is available in fence heights of 1.0 meter, 1.2 meters, 1.5, and 1.8 meters.The standard panel is 2.5 meters wide and can be made to any lengths in between. For the different fence heights, there are suitable posts – for screwing on and for concreting in place. The range of clamps is extensive and covers all conceivable applications. They are fastened with clamps that, together with the construction’s simple assembly, ensure safe and easy installation. Doors and gates are easy to construct from within and are offered according to your individual preferences.
Post heads are offered as simple, flat covers and in spherical form. We offer them in stainless steel, brass, and galvanized steel, each with a 60 mm diameter, which can safely and easily be mounted on the end of the post. In any case, the end of the post is covered with a flat, galvanized steel disc. Do not hesitate to ask us about the installation details.
